  • Dr. Kara Jackson, PrincipalDr. Kara Jackson, Principal

    Dr. Kara Jackson is the principal at Virtual Learning Academy. Dr. Jackson heads the Instructional Technology office as Executive Director of Academic Innovation and Instructional Technology. She has served as the principal of Virtual Learning Academy since the 2022 school year. Previously Dr. Jackson was the principal at Toll Gate Middle School. Before becoming principal, she taught language arts and reading at Ridgeview STEM Junior High, Harmon Middle School, and Toll Gate Middle School. Dr. Jackson received her doctorate from Concordia University, her master's from the University of Dayton, and a bachelor's from Otterbein College. Dr. Jackson is a native of Pickerington and graduated from Pickerington High School. She and her husband Craig have three boys, Ray, Harry, and Joey, and currently reside in Pickerington.
