Mr. Michael Kauffeld - Principal, Toll Gate Middle School

Michael Kauffeld graduated from Capital University in 1988 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree. He received his Master  of Educational Leadership Degree from Ashland University in 2004. Michael coached football at Capital University from 1990 until 1995. He taught and was  the Athletic Director at Hamilton Township High School from 1995-2002. Michael has been with the Teays Valley Local School District since 2002.  At Teays Valley he served as a high school teacher, middle school assistant principal and principal at Teays Valley West Middle School (an Ohio School to Watch). In 2021, Michael joined the Pickerington Local School District as the principal at Toll Gate Middle School. His wife, Jennifer, is a principal with South Western City School District and they have five children.

Welcome Toll Gate Middle School Families. We have been busy getting ready for you! Join us for our Open House, Friday, August 12

This is a chance to meet your teachers and office staff, become familiar with the school.  Please enter through the doors at the front of the building near the Aux. Gym (look for the sign by the gym doors) and exit either at the pods or through the Main Office doors.

5th Grade Supply List

5th Grade Supply List 2022 – 2023  

1 roll transparent tape (with dispenser)

8 or more pencils (Ticonderoga preferred)

1 Red pen

1 pack colored pencils, (sharpened)

1 highlighter

1 fine tip Sharpie

2 large glue sticks

1 bottle of Elmer’s white glue

1 pack loose-leaf notebook paper

1 box of crayons

1 Wired Earbuds (2 if possible, will be left at school, no wifi/bluetooth)

1 4-pack dry erase markers

1 pair of pointed scissors

1 2” sturdy 3-ring binder

1 1″ white 3-ring binder

1 pack 8-tab notebook dividers

1-2 plastic folders with prongs

1 pack of 8-tab notebook dividers

2 composition notebooks

1 pencil pouch (no boxes)

1 large container of Clorox wipes

Boys only: 1 box of gallon Ziploc bags

Girls only:  1 box sandwich size Ziploc bags

We ALWAYS run out of tissues and cleaning supplies. If you are able to send more of these items, we would be extremely grateful
