Welcome to Toll Gate Elementary!

In 2017, Toll Gate Elementary School was named a National Blue Ribbon School!
Blue Ribbon status is one of the most prestigious awards given by the U.S. Department of Education. Our school received the status of “Exemplary High Performing School.”
“This honor is a testament to the hard work and commitment of our teachers, support staff, parents, administrators, and – of course – our students,” said Dr. Chris Briggs, Pickerington Schools superintendent.
“There’s never been a school in Pickerington that’s received this honor. It’s really caused us to answer questions about leadership, school culture and climate, about parent involvement, and about our curriculum.” said Toll Gate Elementary School Principal Kristi Motsch.
According to the U.S. Department of Education, the recognition is based on a school’s overall academic performance or progress in closing achievement gaps among student subgroups.
The National Blue Ribbon Schools Program honors public and private elementary, middle and high schools where students achieve very high learning standards or are making notable improvements in closing the achievement gap. This coveted award affirms the hard work of educators, families and communities in creating safe and welcoming schools where students master challenging and engaging content.
As the PTSO at Toll Gate Elementary, our families, faculty, staff, and students work together to support the achievement and advancement of academic excellence in our community.
