Congratulations, Ridgeview Junior High School!
PBIS Bronze Designation for 2023-2024

March 3, 2025, Pickerington, OH - We are proud to announce that Ridgeview Junior High School (RJHS) has been awarded the PBIS Bronze designation for the 2023-2024 school year by State Support Team Region 11! This recognition highlights Ridgeview’s commitment to fostering a positive and supportive school environment through Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS).

“I’ve seen firsthand how PBIS, when fully integrated with fidelity into a district’s culture, can transform a school community for the better,” said Ridgeview Junior High School Principal Sheila Evans. “It’s not an elementary program. It’s something any grade level can do to help improve a building culture over time. We’re very proud of our work at Ridgeview and are constantly looking for ways to improve our PBIS practices. We’re very honored to be recognized for this award and are looking forward to next year, as we are aiming even higher (Silver Designation).”

The Bronze designation signifies that Ridgeview has successfully implemented a comprehensive Tier 1 PBIS system, establishing clear behavioral expectations, reinforcement strategies, and data-driven decision-making to support students. As one of only 65 schools in Ohio to receive this distinction, Ridgeview is on the path toward even greater success in strengthening student support systems.

PBIS is a proactive, school-wide approach that focuses on teaching and reinforcing positive behaviors, ensuring that all students have the tools they need to thrive. We look forward to seeing Ridgeview continue to build on this achievement and work toward Silver and Gold recognition in the future!

“ It is very exciting to see Ridgeview paving the steps and staying committed, successfully building and maintaining a PBIS system that fosters a positive and supportive school climate where students thrive academically and behaviorally,” said Executive Director of Student Services Kristina Hulse.

Congratulations to the RJHS staff, students, and families who made this achievement possible!
