Starting a new school year is tough. It is even more stressful to go to a new building. The purpose for the staggered start is to allow students to get acclimated to the routines, to meet administrators and other staff members they will see in the building, to meet their classmates, to become familiar with the building, including the playground and lunch room, but most of all, to help calm those first day jitters. This way, we can help them feel more comfortable meeting new people while learning about the expectations of a new building.

Please note the Staggered Start dates for each grade level in middle school:

• August 15: only fifth grade students attend in-person
• August 16:
  • only sixth grade students attend in-person.
  • Fifth grade attends asynchronous virtual
• August 17:  All students attend in-person
