Announcing Pickerington High School North's 2023-24 Theatre Season!

Shrek The Musical (musical) - November 16-19 - A stage adaptation of the popular 2001 animated film "Shrek". The musical follows the story of an ogre named Shrek who lives a peaceful life in his swamp until his solitude is interrupted by a group of fairytale creatures who have been banished to his swamp by the evil Lord Farquaad. In order to get his swamp back, Shrek makes a deal with Farquaad to rescue Princess Fiona from a tower guarded by a fire-breathing dragon. Along the way, Shrek and Fiona develop feelings for each other, but a secret about Fiona's true identity threatens to destroy their budding romance. With the help of his loyal sidekick Donkey, Shrek learns to embrace his true self and fights to save the day. The musical features music by Jeanine Tesori and book and lyrics by David Lindsay-Abaire, and has been praised for its catchy songs, witty humor, and heartwarming message.

Goldilocks and the Three Bears - Fairytale Mystery Theatre (black box play) - December 7-8 - A classic fairy tale that tells the story of a young girl named Goldilocks who ventures into the forest and stumbles upon the home of three bears - Mama Bear, Papa Bear, and Baby Bear. She enters their house and samples their food, sits on their chairs, and sleeps in their beds, causing varying levels of damage to each. When the bears return home and find Goldilocks, she quickly flees the scene, learning a lesson about respecting others' property and the consequences of her actions. The story has been adapted into various forms of media and is often used to teach young children about manners and respect. Will Goldilocks learn her lesson?

You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown (musical) - April 18-21 - A musical comedy based on the beloved comic strip "Peanuts" by Charles M. Schulz. The show follows a day in the life of Charlie Brown and his friends, including Linus, Lucy, Schroeder, Sally, and Snoopy. Through a series of vignettes and musical numbers, the characters navigate the ups and downs of childhood, from getting a perfect score on a spelling test to dealing with unrequited love. Along the way, the characters learn important lessons about friendship, self-esteem, and perseverance. The musical features music and lyrics by Clark Gesner and has been praised for its charming humor, memorable songs, and heartwarming message.

An Evening of Musical Theatre (black box musical) - May 2-3 -  Join us for an evening of our favorite musical theatre songs! This cabaret-style show is filled with dancing and singing. We hope you are able to join us for our end-of-the-year celebration and the announcement of our 2024-2025 Theatre Season!
