Gina Scheidegger

Bonjour! My name is Gina Scheidegger and I teach French I at Pickerington Central High School and Ridgeview Junior High. I also teach College Credit Plus (CCP) French I and II.
I have taught French at the high school level for several years, and also taught briefly at the university level as a graduate teaching associate. In addition, I taught a 15-week French introduction course for middle school students. I'm excited to be working with Pickerington Central students, and I want to partner with parents to help each student progress in their French studies.

I received my bachelor's degree in French from the The Ohio State University, and continued my French studies with several graduate courses in the OSU department of French and Italian, working toward a Master's degree in French. I then entered the Masters of Education program in Foreign Language and received my M.Ed. degree in 2012.

Additional Information

Before returning to school to become a teacher, I worked in the non-profit sector as a special events director, communications liaison, and administrator. I thoroughly enjoyed being part of a community that reached out to help people, but felt that I truly had the heart of a teacher and wanted to have a direct impact on individual lives. My hope and goal is have a positive impact in the lives of students, both personally and academically, as I help them strive for excellence in their education.
