Jodie Martinez

I’ve taught Health and Physical Education since 1995. I began teaching and coaching in San Antonio, Texas before moving to Ohio in 2003. As a child, I grew up in Gahanna, Ohio through 4th grade then moved to Phoenix, Arizona. I was a 3-sport athlete in high school (volleyball, softball and track) and was fortunate to also play volleyball in college. I believe strongly that involvement in sports mirror so many of life’s important lessons like dedication, commitment, integrity, time management, critical thinking, strategy, planning, etc. that I encourage all students to participate in what ever their passion may be. Today, I have given up coaching to spend time with my husband so together we can enjoy supporting our children with their learning and sporting activities. We are proud to be the parents of two wonderful kids. Our son is in high school and plays soccer and runs track. Our daughter is running track at Villanova. My passion is helping young kids to understand the importance of making positive choices in order to make them better physically, mentally and socially.
