Information From The District

If you have not yet filled in your back-to-school forms and reviewed the important back-to-school information from the district, please visit the Pickerington Schools Back-To-School page for 2022.

Letter from the Principal

Hello to all of our Ridgeview STEM Families,

I wanted to introduce myself again; I am Beth Richardson, and I am excited to be Ridgeview STEM’s Principal this fall. This will be my eighth year at RSJHS and my 18th year in Pickerington Local Schools. Before moving into administration, I spent 10 years as a Spanish teacher at Pickerington High School Central. I reside in Pickerington with my husband and two sons, a High School Junior and a 10th grader this year. So, I wear many hats: parent in the district, principal navigating the COVID era and active member of the growing Pickerington community.

As we quickly approach the 2022-2023 school year, here are a few reminders as we get started. Please log into your Infinite Campus Parent Portal account. Unlike previous years, we will be using Infinite Campus to update our contact information and our Emergency Medical information. Once you log in, the steps below will help you update or enter your scholar’s information.

Steps to update information:

  • Click on More on the left side of the screen
  • Click Online Registration
  • Choose the option that best describes your situation
  • From here you will be guided into updating and checking your information

Updating this info for my own children took about 15 minutes. To effectively contact you regarding your scholar’s needs, this update is vital. Also, please be sure to update all emergency contacts, as these are the individuals permitted to pick up your scholars from school if needed. Upon completion of the update, you will receive an email acknowledging your submission.

Looking forward to working with you to make this year a success for your student,

Beth Richardson

Welcome Days and Open House

We will be holding Welcome Days the following dates and times at Ridgeview STEM Junior High:

Thursday, August 4, 2022: 9:00am-11:30am or 4:30pm-7:00pm

Friday, August 5, 2022: 1:00pm-6:00pm

Welcome Days are a time to pick up your schedule for the new school year, find your locker and try it out, drop off any paperwork for the clinic, get help with Infinite Campus and pick up Fundraiser Orders and State Test scores.

Come meet your teachers, walk through your schedule and check out your locker at our Open House Thursday, August 11, 2022 5:00pm-7:00pm.

+ Schedules will be available online via Infinite Campus (your Parent Portal) in early August, so it is not absolutely necessary to come to the building to get your schedule!

+ School Fees can be paid through Infinite Campus.

Support Your PTO

Your Ridgeview PTO has some exciting things planned for the upcoming school year. We encourage everyone to join the PTO. Membership is only a suggested donation of $20 and goes a long way in enabling us to provide fun programs and activities for the students and staff at RJHS.  During the school year, we strive to provide opportunities for parents and families to be involved as much or as little as they want to be.  Being a member does not obligate you to additional time or funds.  If you are interested in getting more involved, please download our Ridgeview PTO Volunteer Form  (PDF) | Ridgeview PTO Volunteer Form (RTF) and our volunteer application. Thank you. We can’t do it without you!

We are also looking to fill some positions that remain open for the upcoming school year as some of our parents got “promoted” to high school!

Study Tables

The following outlines our typical process for Athletic and Activity Study Tables after school:

Study Tables were designed to provide a safe and quiet environment where students can relax, have a snack, and do homework while waiting for their coach or activity advisor to begin their practice/meeting. Since our teacher workday ends at 3:00 p.m., we provide Study Tables coverage until 3:10 p.m.

Please remind your student that athletes are held to a higher standard (it’s in the athletic handbook) and coaches expect them to utilize Study Tables to the best of their ability, to treat all staff respectfully, and to be prepared to be focused and ready-to-go for practices and games at 3:10 p.m.

Ridgeview does not give permission for any student to leave Study Tables early, unsupervised. We do want parents to know that some students are leaving school and heading to Subway or Circle K during this time. If a student does not stay for Study Tables, they are not permitted back in the building until their coach is here to let them back in the athletic doors.

We cannot have students coming and going as they please. Should your student have an appointment after school, you will need to make arrangements ahead of time with the coach about your plan to connect your athlete with his/her team/coach.

Please review all of these expectations with your student.
