Take a trip around the world with Tussing Elementary School this Thursday, May 18, from 6 to 8 p.m. The free event will be at Tussing Elementary and is open to the public.

Tussing students represent five different continents, 20 different countries, and 21 languages. The students will share their success within Tussing, and give visitors a taste of where their families come from by providing ethnic dishes and performances from around the world.

Students also will proudly display all of their hard work that encompasses their curriculum during the last academic year. Each station will be interactive and hands-on. Visitors will experience art, robotics, ST Math extension, the future of the medical field, virtual reality goggles and more.

Children will also be able to carry a “passport” from station to station to receive a sticker. At the end of the event, they will take their “passport” to the library and receive a book to keep as their own.

“We want to celebrate the collaborative efforts of our students, staff, and community by displaying the 21st century learning that has been occurring in our building,” said Viki Cooper, Tussing Elementary instructional coach.

This is an opportunity for students at Tussing Elementary to see their personal success and have the ability to share these success stories with their classmates and community.

Come celebrate the hard work and culture diversity of students at Tussing Elementary at the Celebration of Learning.
