Words cannot express our sadness at the loss of one of our teachers over the weekend.
Pam Light, a fourth-grade math and science teacher at Tussing Elementary School, passed away unexpectedly. She will be greatly missed by her students and friends in Pickerington Schools.
Ms. Light began teaching for the district in 1996. She taught in a variety of roles and served in numerous leadership positions during that time.
While we do not have many details at this time, our current focus is on our students and staff. The district is ensuring that additional school counselors, additional staff, and others are at the school today to provide support to those affected by this tragedy.
To quote Principal Dansby, “We have lost a great one.”
Please keep Ms. Light’s family, friends, and students in your thoughts and prayers during this incredibly difficult time.
