PLSD School Buildings Closed for the Rest of the School Year

Extended Closure image

Dear PLSD family,

Governor DeWine today announced the extension of the closure of Ohio school buildings due to the coronavirus pandemic through the remainder of the school year. That means that our remote learning and Blizzard Bag protocols put in place a month ago will continue for Pickerington Schools.

I can’t thank all of you — our fantastic parents, staff and students — for your support as we quickly and successfully transitioned into distance learning. We couldn’t have done it without you! Now, I again ask for your flexibility, understanding and support and we continue to navigate in uncharted waters.

I know that you are all very anxious about what the rest of the school year holds for our seniors, for events that have been planned, details about grading and more. Our administrative team is meeting right now to work on these details in the aftermath of the Governor’s closure extension order.

Please know that we miss our students, that they continue to be in our thoughts, and that we will release more information about the rest of the school year as soon as possible. Please watch our social media channels, your Infinite Campus inbox, and this website for the latest information. Thank you for your patience in allowing us to finalize the details as we respond to this unprecedented situation.

Sincerely,

Dr. Chris Briggs
Superintendent
