College Credit Plus Informational Meeting Jan. 17

College Credit Plus Logo
Parents interested in learning more about College Credit Plus are invited to an informational meeting at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 17, in the Pickerington High School North PAC. This event is for all parents, regardless of which school your child attends.
CCP offers qualified high school and junior high school students onsite access to directly transcripted credit via dual credit. Students passing CCP classes will receive both high school and college credit for the course at no cost and without taking an exit exam. Students may enroll in college courses at their high school buildings, at local college campuses, or online. Classes may be taught by college faculty or Pickerington faculty with the appropriate backgrounds in their graduate studies.
Successful completion of coursework in the CCP program will earn students college credit that is accepted by all of Ohio’s universities and colleges and many out-of-state and private institutions.
High school students who want to take CCP courses next year but do not already have college-ready scores from the ACT or SAT can sign up to take the January Accuplacer exam in the counselors’ office. The exam will be at Pickerington High School Central on Jan. 22 and PHSN on Jan. 23 during the school day, and at PHSC on Jan. 24 and PHSN on Jan. 25 after school. Note that junior high school students would not take the Accuplacer at these times; testing will be held at the junior highs at a later date.
Seating is limited, and these will be the only times the Accuplacer will be offered here at school. Students who are unable to attend are eligible to take the Accuplacer through Columbus State or Central Ohio Technical College until March 1.
Please email Dean Sabetta if you have any questions.
