Get ready for the “Seniors Rock Chalk Walk” happening May 18-24 to honor our awesome Class of 2020:

  • Draw sidewalk chalk art to honor a senior and/or write motivational messages to your neighbors during this challenging time. Let’s uplift seniors and each other!
  • Chalk your sidewalk masterpiece in the neighborhood where you live or along the designated “Chalk Walk” route, post pictures, tag @PLSD and you could be selected by Superintendent Briggs as a Chalk Walk winner. Multiple winners will receive gift cards donated by local businesses.
  • There are two routes through the heart of Pickerington designated as the “Chalk Walk:” One route through neighborhoods where Central and North seniors live, respectively. People will be able to stroll (with social distancing, of course) or drive along the routes to view the unique art collections. Details of these routes are below.
  • Some of our finest student and staff artists are also planning to create sidewalk art on the grounds of each high school so that seniors can view them on graduation day!
  • Optionally, add the new “PLSD United” logo to your art exhibition to show that even during times when we can’t connect with our hands, we can unite with our hearts. We’re #InThisTogether!

Take a look at the detailed lists of the Central route and North route, and see where you can find some awesome art! There are also visual maps that you can view for Central and North. The Central and North routes are actual bus routes selected and mapped out for us by PLSD’s Transportation Department/Petermann Bus Services. Thank you!

Even if you do not live in the designated route areas, we highly encourage you to participate and show your support for our 2020 seniors and the community!

Happy drawing, cruising, walking and viewing, PLSD!
