Pickerington Schools Director of Student Services Mark Aprile will be inducted into the Ohio Capital Conference Hall of Fame on Nov. 6. The ceremony will be held at The Medallion Club in Westerville.

“It is humbling to be recognized by colleagues and peers in the OCC,” Aprile said. “To be recognized in a similar way to those who have been inducted in the past is a tremendous honor.”

Induction into the OCC Hall of Fame begins with a nomination process that includes the 32 member schools of the conference, including Pickerington’s two high schools. A committee of athletic directors and the OCC commissioner reviews all nominations each year to make an annual selection.

Aprile has worked in Pickerington Schools since 1993. Before being named director of student services in 2011, he worked as athletics director for Pickerington High School from 1997-2003 and at Pickerington High School North from 2003-11. He was named state Athletic Administrator of the year in 2012.

He was a Pickerington High School baseball coach from 1993-97 and was named OCC Coach of the Year in 1993, 1995, and 1996. He was inducted into the Central Ohio Baseball Coaches Hall of Fame in 2005.

He earned his master of science in education degree from University of Dayton and his bachelor’s degree from Bowling Green State University.

Congratulations, Mark, and thanks for making Pickerington proud!
