Krista Messner

I knew I wanted to be a teacher when the best part of my day was when my mom would bring home her old grade books for me to play with in my pretend school. I remember begging my mother to take me to her classroom over the weekends, so I could play on her blackboard. I would bring stuffed animals to place in her empty desks and would teach them for hours while my mother graded real students' papers. My mother, now retired, was an incredible teacher and I love exchanging stories with her today.

I am one of the three 7th grade English teachers at RJH. I have been teaching for over 18 years and feel very lucky to work with the staff at Ridgeview. I am married to my high school sweetheart and have two, beautiful daughters.

Education

I graduated from Kent State University with a 7-12 English Education degree. I then continued my education by obtaining a Master's Degree in "The Art of Teaching."
