Additional Information

I began working in PLSD in 2013 as a cook at Harmon Middle School. A year later I became a Duty Aide at Tussing Elementary, where I have been in the position of 1st grade Paraprofessional since school year 2015/16 .I am working with a First grade Teacher throughout the day along with assisting with the Imagine Learning program. Most recently I have begun running our “Locker Room”. This is a space for students to come when they need a time out or a break from their classroom and get back on track. We will work on behavior and social skills that the students will he able to use in school and through out their lives.
One of my favorite time here is in the morning meeting and greeting the students and their parents first thing in the morning!!

I received my degree in Social Work from The Ohio State University in 1983. I have over 10 years of work experience in Community Corrections where I was a Program Director overseeing 3 Halfway Houses. I then went to work for the Central Ohio Diabetes Association as the Youth Director/Camp Director for 3 years. In 1995 My husband Tom, a Columbus Fire Fighter and I had our first child. I then became a stay-at-home mom for the next 19 years. I have truly enjoyed working in the PLSD especially at Tussing Elementary. I love the kids and enjoy meeting and working with the parents.
