Lisa Shrieve

My name is Lisa Shrieve. Some of you may know me as Miss Stubbs if you had relatives that attended Violet Elementary. I am a high school graduate of St. Clairsville, Ohio and a college graduate of Ohio University. I received my Bachelors in Education 1-8 in April of 2001. Upon graduating, I was a substitute teacher and long-term sub during the day. In the evenings, I worked as a Mental Health Technician at Fox Run Hospital. During this time, I worked with children, ages 5-17, on managing emotions and behaviors associated with trauma or other mental health-related issues. I took on a teaching job during my second year out of college at Fox Run. I was hired by Pickerington to teach third grade at Violet in 2003. The summer of 2005, I began my masters through the University of Dayton. I graduated with a Master of Science in Education and Allied Professions the summer of 2006. I was then hired to teach at Toll Gate Elementary when the building opened. I currently teach 3rd grade math, science, and social studies. I continue to take classes to further my education in areas such as STEM, Growth Mindset, Eureka Math, leadership, technology, and differentiation.

I feel absolutely blessed to be a part of this community with excellent schools, parents, students, and co-workers.
