Carrie Baiocco

My name is Carrie Baiocco. I grew up in Pickerington and attended Pickerington Elementary as a child. I graduated from Pickerington High School. After high school, I graduated Summa Cum Laude from Bowling Green State University in 2003 and started teaching 3rd grade at Violet Elementary that year. I taught at Violet Elementary for 6 years before moving to Toll Gate. I taught 3rd grade for 15 years before moving to the position of instructional coach. I have been an assistant coach for the Huntington Hills Swim Team in the summer and have worked at the Jerry L. Garver YMCA as a lifeguard and swim instructor. I love swimming and played water polo throughout college. I was also given the opportunity to be an assistant coach of the Bowling Green Swim Club during the school year. I completed my master’s degree in Educational Leadership at the University of Dayton through Capital, and I have also earned my principal’s license. In addition, I completed additional coursework and earned my Curriculum, Instruction, and Professional Development license. Currently, my professional development is focused on the Leader in Me and the STEM initiatives at our school.
I was married six years ago to my wonderful husband Ben, who is a 2nd grade teacher at Sycamore Creek Elementary. We have a three year old son named Brian. We also have a puppy named LuLu. She is four years old and loves her little brother.
