Dr. Chris Briggs

Dr. Chris Briggs became Superintendent of Pickerington Schools in July 2017.

Dr. Briggs previously had served as Superintendent in Northridge Local School District from 2013 to 2017. Prior to that, he was the Regional Executive Director for Columbus City Schools from 2011-13, Principal at New Albany Intermediate School from 2003-11, and Principal at Hamilton Township High School from 2001-03.

He worked for nearly a decade in South-Western City Schools as an assistant principal, athletic director, and intervention specialist.


Dr. Briggs received his doctor of education in organizational leadership from Nova Southeastern University, his master’s degree in educational policy and leadership–educational administration from The Ohio State University, and his bachelor’s degree in elementary education and special education from Muskingum College.

Additional Information

Briggs has one son, Mitchell, a student at the University of Cincinnati, and a daughter, Madison, a student at The Ohio State University. His wife, Diana, is the Community Impact Director for Healthcare for the American Heart Association. He and his wife live in Pickerington.
