Additional Information

I grew up in Marysville, Ohio and graduated HS in 1995. I am a Muskingum University alumnus where I was a 4-year varsity letter winner in football. I began my career in education in 2000 as a Biology Teacher at Pickerington High School Central. I have served the district as a Science Department Chair at PHS Central, Dean of Students and Assistant Principal at PHS North, and Principal at PHS Central. I am married to my wife Elizabeth and we have a blended family with four children (Emma, Bo, Luke and Leyton).

I'm currently working on my dissertation to earn an Ed.D degree through Concordia University-Chicago. My research focus is the perspectives of new teachers of the hiring process. I hope to better understand how we can improve our recruitment and hiring efforts of teachers so that we can hire the very best staff for positions that are best suited for them and our district stakeholders.

I'm very grateful to work with an amazing PLSD staff on behalf of thousands of students.
