COMMUNITY
Pickerington is a suburban residential community located about 20 minutes southeast of downtown Columbus, Ohio. Over 14,000 people live in Pickerington. The majority of the residents are professional and business people employed in Columbus. Pickerington's founding settlers were known for having solid values and a high quality work ethic. Those founding traditions are carefully maintained today -- and will be into the future.


SCHOOL
Pickerington High School Central is a four-year comprehensive public high school, with an enrollment of approximately 1637 students. There are approximately 383 students in this year's senior class. Pickerington High School Central is fully accredited by the State of Ohio Department of Education.
School is in session 183 days a year, which is divided into two semesters with 9-week grading periods.

There are 9 forty-minute periods in a day with all the science classes sixty minutes long.

CURRICULUM AND GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS
The curriculum at Pickerington High School Central is comprehensive, including advanced placement, honors, occupational, vocational and adjusted programs. Twenty-one units of credit are required for graduation.

3 units of Math
3 units of Science
1/2 unit of Health
1 unit of Technology, Business, Foreign Language, or Fine Arts
6 units of Electives
