Alert: PLSD on a 2-hour Delay for Wed. Feb. 10th

February Panther Post

  Wow, it seems now we’re on the downside of the 2009-2010 hill.  I’m very pleased with the work of our students thus far.  This is a crucial time for students as there are twelve weeks remaining until OAT testing, and then we are certainly in the home stretch.

PTO News for February
  In January we had our 3rd Teen Night and a food night at Max & Erma’s.  I am writing this article before the events take place, so I hope they are a great success!

TABLE TENNIS/PING PONG

Table Tennis/Ping Pong for 8th graders is Wednesdays; 7th grade students meet on Thursdays. Time is 2:00-3:00pm.  Student pick up is promptly at 3 p.m., and there is no cost to participate.
Spelling Bee

On February 10th and 11th our 7th and 8th grade Spelling Bees will consecutively be held. The Spelling Bees will be held during 3rd and 7th periods.

February is National Children’s Dental Health month.  I wanted to share some tips from the American Dental Association  (ADA) to keep a healthy smile.

MAY DANCE

On May 15th we will have the last dance of the year sponsored by the student council. This is NOT a formal dance or Junior High Prom.  This is not new from past years, and I want you to be prepared for the event and not waste money on things that are not permitted.

Lakeview Athletic News-February
The wrestling awards program will take place on
Tuesday, February 09, beginning at 7:00 pm in the
junior high cafeteria. The athletic department will
provide coffee, pop and water. If you have any
questions, please don't hesitate to call Mrs. Kose,
athletic director, at 830-2225. More information will be
sent home with the athletes.
