DO make sure the dress meets the fingertip rule.

DO have at least one strap.

DON'T buy a formal dress; this is not a prom.  DON'T spend a lot of money on a dress.  You probably already have something in your closet that is fantastic!

Gentlemen

We encourage you to wear nice slacks, no blue jeans,  and a shirt with a collar.  If your pants sag below the waist, please wear a belt.

Our PTO is selling "Class of 2017" t-shirts to our current 8th grade students who are moving on and moving up!  The cost is $10.00 and they are available in the school store.  A sample of the design is hanging in the Media Center.

Outstanding music and tables upon tables of PLSD volunteers filled the walls of the Lakeview Junior High cafeteria on the evening of March 21. Pickerington Local School District volunteers were recognized at a ceremony held in their honor. The celebration was the first of what will be an annual event to recognize the outstanding spirit of volunteerism throughout the District.

Following a statewide delay in state report card release dates, the Pickerington Local School District is proud to announce that the District has once again officially achieved an "Excellent With Distinction" rating on the 2011-2012 state report card from the Ohio Department of Education. This is the highest state rating based on the achievement and progress of students.

In an effort to keep parents and students informed on the Common Core State Standards, the District has added a new Common Core Standards webpage under the Teaching & Learning Department at http://www.pickerington.k12.oh.us/contentPage.aspx?cid=592.
 

Three Pickerington seniors advanced as National Merit Scholarship Program Finalists. This distinction places these seniors in a pool of more than 15,000 students representing less than one percent of U.S. high school graduating seniors. These talented future PLSD grads are now vying for one of 8,300 National Merit Scholarships with a combined value of more than $32 million. Winners will be announced this spring.
