Congratulations to Linda Katchmar, Pickerington High School Central secretary, for being nominated for the 2017-2018 national LifeChanger of the Year Award.

LifeChanger of the Year Award is an annual program sponsored by the National Life Group Foundation and helps recognize K-12 educators and school employees across the United States. This program celebrates those who are making a significant difference in the lives of students by exemplifying excellence, positive influence and leadership.

Principal, Stacy Tennenbaum, nominated Katchmer for this award. Ms. Katchmar became secretary at PHSC at the beginning of the 2016-2017 school year and immediately jumped in with both feet determined to succeed in her position serving nearly 1,800 students.

“Ms. Katchmar has definitely changed my life as a principal,” said Tennenbaum. “She has been able to make some significant and positive changes to how our school processes things. She is very knowledgeable in policy and procedures, and she follows the guidelines set for her work.”

Many of her colleagues have described her as compassionate, organized, and able to effortlessly do her job with a smile on her face.

LifeChanger of the Year receives hundreds of nominations from all over the country each year. Seventeen finalists will be chosen and honored at a national awards ceremony. The Grand Prize Winner will then be revealed, and receive $10,000 to donate to their district.

Congratulations Linda, and best of luck!
