The Money Class is in Session at Sycamore Creek ES Learning can be fun… just ask Mrs. Tinsley’s second grade students. Five years ago when Lisa Tinsley was trying to help her students learn about money, she decided to write a play using the book Pigs Will Be Pigs: Fun with Math and Money by Amy Axelrod as a model.  In this story, a lovable family of pigs search the house to find money to go out and eat. After looking all over the house in the most unusual places, the pigs find enough money to go to their favorite restaurant. Mrs. Tinsley decided to take that book and tailor it to meet the needs of the children in the classroom while also incorporating the character traits taught throughout the school.
