Three Pickerington seniors advanced as National Merit Scholarship Program Finalists. This distinction places these seniors in a pool of more than 15,000 students representing less than one percent of U.S. high school graduating seniors. These talented future PLSD grads are now vying for one of 8,300 National Merit Scholarships with a combined value of more than $32 million. Winners will be announced this spring.
To be considered for a Merit Scholarship award, semifinalists must fulfill several requirements to advance to the Finalist level of competition. About 90 percent of semifinalists become finalists, and approximately half of the finalists will go on to win a National Merit Scholarship.
Congratulations to Pickerington High School Central senior Tynan Douglas and Pickerington High School North seniors Kristen Eisenhauer and Kyle Planck for their Finalist ranking in the 58th annual National Merit Scholarship Program.
