Latchkey Programs
The Jerry Garver YMCA operates the latchkey program at each of the District's elementary school buildings. The program offers before and after school care from 7 a.m. a.m. until school begins and from dismissal until 6 p.m. For more information contact Tamala Perryman at (614) 834-9622 or visit the YMCA website at http://www.ymcacolumbus.org/child-care/pickerington

Updating Addresses
In order to communicate with parents, develop transportation routes, and process other data-driven activities, the District must have the most current address and telephone numbers on file for every student. It is vital to the successful operation of the school system.

Submit all residential student address changes to the Welcome Center, 130 Hill Road, Suite 102 (Address changes will no longer be taken at the individual school buildings). The Welcome Center will input the addresses directly into the District’s database. Parents can also update telephone and email address changes at the school building or through the Infinite Campus Parent Portal. Directions for activating your Infinite Campus portal account can be found at http://www.pickerington.k12.oh.us/contentPage.aspx?schoolid=0&cid=482.

"Change of Student Information" forms are available on the District website or by calling the Welcome Center at (614) 920-6180 to have a form faxed or emailed.

Communication Services
Pickerington Local Schools has adopted a new rapid communication service called One Call Now. This service allows our district to contact thousands of parents and guardians within minutes to keep you informed about school news & events, student absences, closings & delays, and emergency situations.

Receiving Messages
You will receive routine notification calls, which do not directly affect the safety of students, staff, or parents. These calls include upcoming events, delays in school transportation, and absenteeism. You will also receive emergency notification calls that are used during critical incidents including lockdowns, evacuations, and relocations.

Updating Contact Information
The most important thing parents can do is verify the accuracy of their contact information.  Schools must have updated phone numbers and email addresses for One Call Now to work effectively and efficiently.  PLSD maintains parent contact information in the Infinite Campus student information system, and then imports this information into One Call Now.

To verify your contact information, log in to the Infinite Campus parent portal or call your child’s school during regular school hours.  Directions for activating your Infinite Campus portal account can be found at http://www.pickerington.k12.oh.us/contentPage.aspx?schoolid=0&cid=482.

Activating your parent portal account and keeping your contact information up-to-date will allow you to follow your child’s academic progress at school and ensure that you receive important communications in case of emergency.

Thank you for partnering with us to ensure effective communication between home and school!
