Tussing's Young Gentlemen Take Their Final Swing of the Season at Turnberry Golf Course The students in the Young Gents program at Tussing ES will receive one final surprise for the school year. On May 25, the "young gents" will visit Turnberry golf course, 1145 Clubhouse Lane Pickerington, OH, from noon-1pm, where they will learn about golf from the pro on site and hit a few balls on the driving range.  This year, the students and the program have received numerous accolades and honors including a visit from New York Giants wide receiver Domenik Hixon and the Ohio Department of Education’s 2011 Asset Builder Award. Two PHSN Student Artists Place in Fairfield-Franklin County Congressional Art Competition Two PHSN students were honored with second and third place awards in Congressman Steve Austria’s seventh congressional district 2012 Fairfield-Franklin County Art Competition.  Senior, Laura Kageorge earned second place for her charcoal drawing and freshman Kevin Krznar received third place for his computer graphics artwork. These students advanced to the District Competition on April 20, at the Ohio Glass Museum, and placed in the top 32 in the seventh congressional district. [...more]

"Bullied" Student Panel Discusses the Issue of Bullying and Starting a Movement Featuring PHSN Videographers at Ohio University Ohio University-Lancaster will be showing the award-winning anti-bullying video produced by Gabbi Thacker and Austin Engel, two PHSN students on May 1, at 6pm, 12933 Stonecreek Dr. Pickerington, OH. In addition to the PHSN video, participants will also view a video entitled "Bullied."  Following the video presentations, a panel of students will discuss the video and issues of bullying in schools.
